Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was classic, old boleros along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense vocal instruction. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
